A.G.P/ Alliance Global Partners Expands Emerging Markets Sales and Trading Business
Luis Gordillo, Gustavo Reyes and Fernando Tizon will join to expand the Emerging Markets Sales and Trading business as part of a strategy of expansion for A.G.P.’s institutional business, with a focus in Latin America.
Luis Gordillo, Gustavo Reyes and Fernando Tizon will join to expand the Emerging Markets Sales and Trading business as part of a strategy of expansion for A.G.P.’s institutional business, with a focus in Latin America.
The team has joined the Emerging Markets Division as part of a strategy of expansion for the firm’s institutional business, with a focus in Latin America. The team will be able to connect its client base with the distribution and trading capabilities that A.G.P has to offer. The Emerging Markets Group is responsible for trading and distribution of global emerging market securities including Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange and Equities for institutional clients and will closely partner with our Wealth Management Division.
Mr. Gordillo has more than 15 years of experience in Capital Markets. In recent years, he was a Director of Emerging Markets Fixed Income for Stifel Nicolaus and a Vice President for Hapoalim Securities Emerging Markets Group with a focus in the LATAM Region. During his career, he was also responsible for trading different products such as options, equities and new issues (placements). He earned an MBA from the University of Manchester (UK), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Universidad de Lima (Peru).
Mr. Reyes has 18 years of experience within Treasury and Capital Markets. Before joining A.G.P., he was Vice President at Bank of New York Mellon Capital Markets where he assisted in developing the Emerging Markets Institutional Fixed Income desk with a focus in the LATAM region. Prior to this, he held positions at Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi and Bank Leumi in a trading capacity covering FX and Fixed Income and at Citibank (UK) as a Treasury Analyst. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Northeastern University.
Mr. Tizon has more than 15 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining A.G.P., he worked as Vice President at Banco de Credito del Peru as part of the Sales and Trading desk, then he moved to Toronto where he joined TD Securities as VP on the Global Currencies and Interest Rate Desk. He has worked with a variety of Financial Institutions and Central Banks in Latin America offering a wide range of foreign exchange, interest rate and precious metals products. Later, he moved to Miami to build the FX Spot and Derivatives Desk at Bulltick, LLC. Mr. Tizon earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Universidad de Lima (Peru) and an MBA specializing in financial engineering from the University of Toronto (Canada).
